Not only are they bonded to their owners, they're a companion, a best friend, and a powerful magic tool. Palismen will outlive their original owners if treated right. They will grow in size, have baby palismen of their own, but it takes hundreds of years. Do you know how many I know of who lived that long?

Because Belos - a fellow human - realized that if you kill one of them, you can absorb their power and long life for yourself.

And you want to just give away my world's short supply of them, or just simply have the Admiral create them for you? What if this Edwin figures out you can bleed palismen of their magic? What if someone else here does? Does he have the strength to withstand someone attempting to steal or kidnap their magic?
