If you were going to make me choose just one, I would go with either construction or healing magic. Healing is purely defensive. Construction would help me increase my strength, allow me to create tools and shape the ship to my whims. Neither of them are my preferred tracks and I would need time to practice, but both would help to keep me safe and secure.
The Emperor's coven is permitted all kinds of magic. In theory, I can grow plants, cast illusions, and create abominations. I can mix potions, heal sicknesses, and talk to beasts. I can create things from the earth, see into the future, and use music to enchant others to do my bidding.
Healing magic would make me a useful asset to others. I could prove my worth whenever this ship inevitably turns towards disaster, thus cementing my position as an ally.
Construction magic would make me more formidable as a threat. I could eliminate problems before they become problems.
